We are a private club in Blairsville, Georgia, located in the North Georgia Mountains.

Our Mission

The mission of the Blairsville Pickleball Club is to promote pickleball through education, drills, clinics, round robins, and competitive tournaments for members and visitors as well as providing opportunities for social activities.

Our overall theme is to encourage sportsmanship, camaraderie and safety through fun & exercise.

About Pickleball

Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in North America and Blairsville is no exception. Our club currently plays on eight dedicated outdoor courts and is one of the fastest growing clubs in the region with over 350 members.

Pickleball is a cross between tennis and ping pong. It is played on a badminton size court (one fourth the size of a tennis court) with a low net. Pickleball paddles look like oversize ping pong paddles made of graphite or composite. The balls are hollow plastic with holes in them, similar to whiffle balls.

Pickleball is easy to learn and a lot of fun to play. If you are brand new to the game we offer beginner’s lessons and provide loaner paddles and balls. See the events page. We welcome players of all skill and experience levels. Our club is very social, with events on and off the courts. Our purpose is to provide a fun, friendly and healthy recreational activity and to promote interest in all aspects of pickleball.

We would love to have you come and join us. Annual membership is only $20 per person.

Union County Recreation Dept Indoor Play (519 Industrial Blvd):

Mon-Fri - 8:00am - Noon (varies 3-6 available courts)

Outdoor Open Play:

Monday – Sunday Dawn until Dusk (8 courts available unless reserved. See below).

MAC Play:

Tuesday 12:00pm - 3:00pm

Indoor Court Reservations:

Beginner Classes - Monday 12pm

Outdoor Scheduled Court Reservations:

Beginner Classes - Courts 1, 2, 3 reserved on Tuesday's 6:00pm - 7:30pm (April through October)

Intermediate Drilling - Courts 1- 4 reserved on Wednesday's 1:00pm-3:00pm

Advanced Drilling - Courts 1-4 reserved on Thursday's 1:00pm-3:00pm
